AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE REDEVELOPMENT OF A PORTION OF THE UNINCORPORATED AREA CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO BY THE SAN JACINTO REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY PURSUANT TO SECTION 33213 OF THE CALIFORNIA HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE

 

The Board of Supervisors of the County of Riverside, State of California, do ordain as follows:

 

Section 1. The Board of Supervisors has been requested by the City of San Jacinto to designate and authorize the San Jacinto Redevelopment Agency to undertake the redevelopment of that certain real property located within the territorial limits of the County of Riverside, contiguous to the City of San Jacinto, more particularly described in Exhibit A, which is attached hereto. The Board of Supervisors hereby authorizes the redevelopment of such real property located in the County of Riverside by the City of San Jacinto and the San Jacinto Redevelopment Agency. The City of San Jacinto and the San Jacinto Redevelopment Agency are hereby designated by the Board of Supervisors to undertake such redevelopment.

 

Section 2. Prior to deciding whether to authorize the redevelopment by the City of San Jacinto and the San Jacinto Redevelopment Agency of that certain real property located within the territorial limits of the County, more particularly described in Exhibit A, attached hereto, and designate the City of San Jacinto and the San Jacinto Redevelopment Agency to undertake such redevelopment, and prior to taking action on the Redevelopment Plan of the San Jacinto Redevelopment Agency, the Board of Supervisors, as a responsible agency, has reviewed and considered the contents of the Environmental Impact Report prepared by the San Jacinto Redevelopment Agency.

 

Section 3. The City of San Jacinto and the San Jacinto Redevelopment Agency shall have only those rights and privileges with respect to the unincorporated area included within the project area described in Exhibit A, attached hereto, that are necessary for purposes of implementing and completing the Redevelopment Plan. The County of Riverside shall retain all rights, powers, and privileges with respect to land use controls, development approvals, and authorizations affecting the unincorporated real property within the project area as long as said property remains unincorporated territory within the County of Riverside.

 

Section 4. The Redevelopment Plan is hereby approved and is hereby designated as the official Redevelopment Plan for the project area.
